Your child walks into a market, a park, a kitchen, a station. Somebody there speaks to them, and they have to answer to get anything done — three apples, the price, the platform. The language is what it takes to finish the errand, which is how anyone has ever actually learned one.
Type in an age and the whole lab changes. 4–7 get six-minute sessions of animals and colours with almost no reading. 8–11 get school, friends and pets. 12–14 get real conversation and no baby talk. 15–18 get travel, work and interviews — coaching, not games. Different words, different length, different look.
There is a report no consumer app gives you: every line your child actually said, how many words they manage in a turn, and the phrases a scene kept waiting for and never heard. That is exactly where the next live lesson should start.
Finish a place and the passport gets a stamp. Tap anything in a scene — the bread, the ticket, the bench — and it is spoken aloud and dropped into a word bag they can carry and show somebody. Progress you can hold beats a bar that fills up.
The other person speaks first, then listens, and knows when your child has stopped talking. No microphone button, no turn-taking to learn. If the microphone is refused or the connection drops, it keeps going — typed answers and scripted lines — instead of freezing.
Progress, recordings and profiles stay in the browser on your own machine. There is no account and no child data sent anywhere.
What is in it today: the full A1 beginner course — greetings, family, numbers, food, school, colours and more — in Spanish and Hindi, plus English for children learning it as a second language. Every unit is written four times over, once for each age band. More levels are being added.
A name, an age between 4 and 18, and the language. That is the whole setup — about twenty seconds.
Every learner picks a character who travels with them through the course. Lumi, the lab’s owl, comes along regardless.
